rainbows. But bear in mind, if you want the rainbow,
you gotta put up with the rain. 15) Be open to all

Points To Ponder|
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not
envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not
rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in
evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love puts the fun in together,
The sad in apart,
The hope in tomorrow,
The joy in the heart.
|"In family life, love is the oil that eases
friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the
music that brings harmony." |
~ Eva Burrows ~
Just because somebody doesn't love you the way you
want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with
everything they've got.
My love goes on forever|
My love for you is greater than the universe is wide.
My love for you is greater than the number of grains of
sand, of all the beaches, of all worlds. There is no
love more unshakable than a parent's love for his child.
~(A father's Valentine's Day note to his child)~ 1992||
Are Pets Family Too?
All You Need Is Love
In loving his brother and/or sister, the child learns a sense of
identity and respect for the identity of others. The
child learns empathy, value of sharing and giving. The
child learns the meaning of cooperation. The conscience grows through sibling relationships. Valuing every person as one's own brother or sister is the spiritual foundation of democracy. Cultivating true brotherhood and sisterhood in the family thus trains us to live well in society, and this creates a peaceful society.
Four generations of Heredity|
Thomas Hardy - Heredity
I am the family face;
Flesh perishes, I live on,
Projecting trait and trace
Through time to times anon,
And leaping from place to place
The years-heired feature that can
In curve and voice and eye
Despise the human span
Of durance -- that is I;
The eternal thing in man,
That heeds no call to die.
|Mary Oliver - Wild Geese
|You do not have to be good.|
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting --
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
|"The person who tries to live alone will not
succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does
not answer another heart. His mind shrinks away if he
hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no
other inspiration." ~ Pearl S. Buck ~|
others. We need others to love and we need to be loved
by them. There is no doubt that without it, we too, like
the infant left alone, would cease to grow, cease to
develop, choose madness and even death." ~Leo F.
Love is one of the hardest words to say and one of
the easiest to hear.

|More of More About Love|
All too often, I've heard folks describing how
"unique" or "odd" certain branches of their family trees
are. Whereas, in fact, nothing can be "unique" or "odd"
if it commonly occurs. But the sometimes unclear and
also incongruous nature of human language, combined
with the human tendency to err, results in confusion and
misinformation concerning such issues. Family members
are not made by magic, nor are they made by unnatural
processes. Their development is in
accordance to physical factors, or what has been called,
the laws of nature. Simply stated, the
developmental process of the child into the adult is the
result of his (or her) gene-milieu interaction.
This is a well established scientific fact.
"Nothing has such power to broaden the mind as the
ability to investigate systematically and truly all that
comes under thy observation in life." ~Marcus Aurelius~
Physical causation is universal. The constitution of
nature is written in its actual manifestations, and
needs only to be deciphered by experimental and
inductive research. It is not a latent invisible
writing, to be brought out by the magic of mental
anticipation or metaphysical mediation.
"All successful men have agreed in one thing,- they
were causationists. They believed that things
went not by luck, but by law; that there was not a weak
or a cracked link in the chain that joins the first and
last of things." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
"Fate is the endless chain of causation, whereby
things are; the reason or formula by which the world
goes on." ~Citium Zeno~
